Sneak Peek: Do your students love Bad Bunny? Here’s a fun lesson plan for Valentine’s Day featuring a clean Bad Bunny song, Valentine’s card template, and Dado de Cupido.
When it comes to Bad Bunny, it seems you either love him or hate him. Personally, I wasn’t a fan, but my heritage Spanish class eventually got me hooked.

Of course many of his songs are not school appropriate, but don’t worry, in today’s lesson plan… everything is perfectly clean! Even the music video for the featured song is appropriate to show in class.
The materials you will need for this lesson:
- Bad Bunny Cloze Song Worksheet
- El dado de Cupido: Desafío de San Valentín
- Bad Bunny Valentine’s Cards
- Candy Heart Valentine’s Card Template in Spanish (Free Download- Click HERE)
Learning objectives:
- Students will write in the lyrics they hear in Spanish.
- Students will write a card to someone in Spanish.
Prep:
Print copies of the Bad Bunny Cloze Song Worksheet– one copy per student.
Plan to display the answer key for the class
Print copies of the Dado de cupido worksheet
Print copies of the Bad Bunny Valentine’s Cards
Print copies of the Candy Heart Valentine’s Card Template – in Spanish
Teacher Instructions:
1. Begin class by showing the music video for the song Desde el corazón by Bad Bunny. Next pass out the cloze song worksheet. Go over the vocab section with students so they can write in the definitions. Next, play the song a couple of times so students can fill in the missing lyrics as they listen. (This is great written input for heritage Spanish speakers!) Go over the answers with students by displaying the answer key and highlighting or underlining the words that should be there. This doesn’t need to be for a grade, but you could select five of the missing words to grade if you would like.
2. Pass out the Dado de Cupido worksheet, one copy per student. Students will roll a die three times to see which three options they get to choose from for today’s activity. They will ultimately complete one activity from the menu. If you don’t have physical dice in your classroom, students can use this online die (This worksheet makes a create sub plan for Valentine’s Day).
3. Students will choose from the different Valentine’s Card Templates in order to complete their Valentine’s challenge. If their challenge doesn’t require a card, they can still select a card to do for fun at a later time. I also included the Sweetheart Candy Template for those students who aren’t fans of Bad Bunny.
4. Use the time at the end of the class as a chance for students to partner share, group share, or even share out loud as a class regarding which challenge they completed.
